DIGITAL PHOTO ART

The weather can be a challenge for photography when you are living on northern Vancouver Island in a Coastal Rainforest or an Alberta winter.

When the weather doesn’t cooperate, it gives me a chance to revisit some of my photographs and maybe add some colour that nature didn't supply or to highlight shapes.

I originally felt that some of the photos lacked something that set them apart and might have otherwise ended up in the trash bin. Maybe they had the shape and texture I was looking for but weren’t very vibrant in colour or the shapes got lost in too much surrounding visual noise.

Editing the photos bridges the space between art and photography and gives a new dimension to the image.
